Our History

In 1984 the philosophy of Divine Love was first revealed in Poland.

21st February 1991 the International Society for Divine Love (Stowarzyszenie Świadomości Duchowej Miłości) was established. Three years later it acquired its headquarters on Basztowa Street in Krakow, where the followers used to meet until November 2006.

In August 2006 the organisation purchased a house in Brzegi near Krakow, which became the new headquarters in December of the same year.

In 2008 the name was changed to 'Radha Govind Society of Poland' and ashram status was assigned to the facility in Brzegi.

In 2015 a 32-are piece of land near the ashram was bought for the construction of a temple and yoga centre 'Radha Govind Bhakti Yog Mandir'.

06th September 2015 the cornerstone laying ceremony took place. It was attended by Indian community representatives, headed by Indian Ambassador to Poland, Mr G. R. Meena; local elected officials, and guests from India, USA and England. Dr Mark J. Pasula inspired and funded the construction of Mandir.

23rd September 2015 Radha Govind Foundation was registered with the objective of raising funds for the new temple.

17th November 2016 the planning permission was received and the construction works began soon after.

14th September 2021 the building was granted approval for use. The fit-out works are under way.

1st and 2nd October 2022 Inauguration Ceremony of Radha Govind Bhakti Yog Mandir took place. The celebrations were attended by the Ambassador of India Nagma Mohamed Mallick, the mayor of the City and Commune of Wieliczka, Dr. Artur Kozioł, JKP preachers, representatives of the Indian community and hundreds of guests from Poland and abroad.
