Welcome

Who are we? Why are we here? What is the purpose of our existence?

Over millennia, humanity has been ceaselessly pondering over those questions. The Vedas, which are the sacred Hindu scriptures, cover all of those topics, providing us with exhaustive explanations. They give directions towards achieving permanent happiness, describing a process which is definite, timeless and which can be positively verified by experience. The authenticity and practicality of this philosophy can be easily perceived by whomever actively implements it.

Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

Through countless lectures, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj  has explained the most complex teachings of Hindu scriptures in a simple, practical manner that can be understood by people of all ages and backgrounds. He emphasizes roopdhyan (actively engaging the mind while meditating on the form, virtues and Divine actions of God) to be the most important part of any form of Bhakti and considers Bhakti without roopdhyan lifeless.

Hinduism

Religious Traditions

Hinduism is one of the oldest religions in the world, it has existed for thousands of years and is based on rich religious traditions.

The central teaching of Hinduism is that the basic nature of man is not limited to the body or mind. Above them is the soul, and above the soul is God. India has never converted or suppressed other religions.

One of the best sources of Indian history is Vedic literature. The Vedas formed the Indian script. The ideas and practices of the Vedic religion are codified by the Vedas. The Vedas designate and show the direct path to God himself. This is what makes Hindu philosophy/religion different from all other religions in the world.

You are in the right place, on this website you will find basic information about Hinduism, Vedas; lectures and films explaining various philosophical issues. If you want more, visit us in person at Satsang, or come to meet JKP teachers who hold programs here several times a year.

What is Satsang and when does it take place?

Satsang, which means "spiritual connection" in Sanskrit, is a type of Hindu worship. Satsang in our Temple takes place every Sunday at 11 a.m. We start with a prayer in Hindi, then there is singing, a video with a lecture by the Guru, Arti to Jagadguru and our Deities (Radha Krishna and Sita Ram). Everyone is welcome.
